A lot of you have been wondering when we’ll get Fresh Cut Roses back in stock, well wonder no more, it’s on it’s way and should be on the shelf in a couple of weeks time.

I’ve developed a soy container wax that has similar characteristics to the paraffin container plus, it’s called soy container plus … novel eh! I’ve actually developed this wax about a year ago and its been in use for my wholesale candle customers since then and has proved very successful so I decided to make it available for retail customers. It’s main properties are that it’s a single pour wax, it has excellent adhesion to glass (I’ve not seen better anywhere), it has a lovely finish and gives a flat top once cooled for container candles. It’s a soft wax, similar to it’s paraffin counterpart, so we sell it in pails.

Coming in the next couple of weeks, 3 more fragrances - Joop designer, pineapple and honeysuckle. I’ll post when they land on the shelf.

New wick

We now have the full range of CSN (Candelights Special Natural) unwaxed wick in stock.

This is sold in 10m lengths

There are plans to stock the ECO wick in a similar format but this depends on sales of the tabbed variety, at the moment the CSN is being favoured for natural waxes and very few people are buying the ECO. If there is an upturn in sales on this range then we will stock the unwaxed variety also.

We are phasing out the NT wick and the zinc cored wick, the latter is not favoured these days as people move towards ‘green’ candles for ecological reasons and the former is simply unpopular for reasons unknown, there are lengths of all sizes still available but they will be removed from the list on the website as they are sold. We have found that the CSN outperforms the NT wick by a long way. I have personally been overwhelmed by how well the CSN wick works, the designer has done a very good job on this one !
